Abstract

In this essay, I will discuss some traits of Nietzsche’s conceptual characters as semblances of his conception of the artist, elaborated in disconcerting contexts of romantic and idealistic systems of the fine arts, in favor of the rehabilitation of life as the pulsating matter of art. The approach will investigate the hypothesis that there are perverse and delusional performances in artistic creation based on a simple comparison between Nietzschean delusional perversion and the clinical structures elaborated by Freudian-Lacanian Psychoanalysis, with the suggestion that the functions of the other and the lack are radically different in the former and the latter. Finally, the problematization of the function of the other in the perverse structure will also provide an opportunity for a brief comparison between Nietzschean perspectivism and Amerindian interspecific perspectivism.

Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). Permanent Professor in the Graduate Program in Philosophy at UFU. Leader of the Research Group on Patristic, Medieval Latin, and Arabic Philosophy at PUC-SP (CNPq Certificate). Member of the Société Internationale pour lÉtude de la Philosophie Médiévale (SIEPM). Member of the Brazilian Association of Patristic Studies (ABEPatri). Member of the CIEME Research Group - Center for Medieval Studies/UFU (CNPq Certificate). Member of the Support Center for the Anpof Working Group “Augustine of Hippo” and the Working Group “History of Medieval Philosophy and the Reception of Ancient Philosophy.” Professor at PUC-SP between 2018 and 2024. Professor at the Faculty of São Bento-SP between 2022 and 2024. Substitute Professor of Philosophy at UFSCar in 2017. Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) between 2011 and 2016. Author of the books: “How to Read Saint Augustine: Therapy for the Soul and Happiness” (Ed. Paulus); “Political Philosophy in Augustine: Studies on The City of God” (Edições 70); Translator of “The City of God” (Paulus Editora).
